Landscapes marked by the pace of the seasons

The seasons in Alta Badia

People say that to really get to know Alta Badia, you have to visit it every season: this is very true. The Dolomites' natural appearance changes every season, and it does so with extreme elegance. The sporting activities available vary, the temperatures change, the colours and lights change, but the thrill of watching the natural beauty of Val Badia doesn’t.

Spring arrives with the roaring of streams full of water, a triumph of blooms of endemic orchids and the chirping of migratory birds. Summer is the season of hiking, cycling, evenings spent in front of that natural show called enrosadira. Then comes autumn, where the nature of the Dolomites is perhaps at its best, a festival of colours, and expanses of larches all dressed up for the occasion. The first snowfalls bring joy into the homes of winter sports enthusiasts, expanses of snow to explore and clear starry skies to contemplate.
