Hiking holidays in Alta Badia
A Unesco heritage for you to discover step by step
San Cassiano is one of the best starting points for excursions and walks in Alta Badia. This is where the trails start, leading to one of the most beautiful natural parks in the Dolomites: the Fanes-Sennes-Braies nature park, with its peaks above 3000 m and its mysterious and legendary places. The glorious Lagaciò with its traces of the First World War and the meadows at the foot of the emblematic Sass dla Crusc are just a few of the many hiking destinations.
You can also take advantage of the Piz Sorega's cable car from the hotel, and set off at high altitudes to stroll through welcoming mountain shelters on the plateaus of Störes and Pralongià. There are also theme trails around the village of San Cassiano, such as the artists' footpath to the nearby village of La Villa. At the Hotel Steinrösl, our guests are well looked after and you will always find someone available to advise you on the walks and hikes that are right for you. So, pick up your backpack and enjoy a selection of over 400 km of easy to challenging trails.
